+ Xenopus are a schedule 2 species in the EU and can only be supplied by licensed breeders.
# NBRP has regulatory limitations so mostly supplies just domestic researchers in Japan.
XenIP is a new, small resource, suppling only Korean Xenopus labs at this time, not really a 'stock centre' and they do sell some husbandry supplies.
*XRRI can only provide small numbers of animals to start a colony, not large numbers of animals for experiments.
^ Research Hotel is a residency program where researchers access the resources and expertise of the stock center while doing their own lab work. Sweet!
^^ XenMD is a diagnostic service to UK clinicians with patients with a suspected monogenic disease and multi-systemic phenotype, which is then molled in the Xenopus tropicalis to assess loss-of-function phenotypes.
** Stock centers generally don't supply husbandry equipment! Search the internet &/or join XenCare husbandry group for advice and information.
