BS & PhD at UCSB w/ extended stay at Oregon State University for MS in Aquatic Entomology, Research/Lecturer at Arizona State Univ., UC Berkeley and University of Nevada, Reno, and since 2002 with MSI. Community and ecosystem ecology of aquatic and riparian systems, including ecological role and management of invasive species, esp. the use of biological control to reduce impacts, and restoration of riparian ecosystems. Most activity in semi-arid and arid rivers of western No. America.
