Position: MRC Scientist (retired)
Research Description:
The Zimmerman lab was instrumental in establishing X. tropicalis as a modern model of functional vertebrate genomics, using a combination of loss-of-function, gain-of-function, and embryological techniques. The lab also worked with X. laevis, a highly productive model system in cell and developmental biology due to the ease of molecular and surgical manipulations of its embryos.
