Name: Dr. Talia Nasr

Research Description:
Talia completed her Bachelor degree in Statistics and Biological Sciences in 2013 at Northwestern University. Her undergraduate work focused on the regulation of neural crest cell epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition in Xenopus. She joined the University of Cincinnati Medical Scientist Training Program in 2013 and began her PhD work in the Zorn’s Lab in 2015. Her thesis work focused on the molecular and cellular changes required for tracheoesophageal development in Xenopus and mouse. She additionally studied specific Hedgehog/Gli regulation of tracheoesophageal separation and mesenchymal differentiation.
