Research Description:

Peter Hausen (1935-2012) was a Professor of Developmental Biology & Genetics at the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology in Tübingen, Germany. He authored many papers on Xenopus and co-authored the book "The Early Development of Xenopus laevis: An Atlas of the Histology"(1991). His work on the early development of Xenopus laevis (African clawed frog) helped to answer many crucial molecular and cell biological questions.
