XB-LAB-693

Hollemann Lab

Research Area

Our research group is interested in the question of how genes control developmen . As a model system we use mainly the South African clawed frog Xenopus laevis, which is particularly well suited to study early stages of development . Since the genome of Xenopus has been sequenced and many molecular tools are established, functional studies can be carried out relatively quickly.

Additional Information

One area in particular that we are interested in is the function of a novel highly conserved putative ubiquitin ligase complex the Gid/CTLH complex.
