Research Area

The Heikkila Labs' research focused on the use of recombinant DNA methodology to examine the molecular response of amphibian embryos and tissue culture cells to environmental stress, isolation and cloning of heat shock or stress protein genes, and the analysis of the regulation of gene expression and the function of molecular chaperones.
