Wylie Heasman Lab (Retired)

Research Interests

Wnt pathways & signaling; embryo formation; cell patterning & cell migration, bladder formation.

Research Area

The Wylie/Heasman lab was large and diverse. They studied the fundamental mechanisms of normal development, using mouse and frog (Xenopus laevis) embryos as a model systems. They also had several translational projects in the lab, collaborating with clinical and bio-engineering colleagues, identifing many fundamental aspects of tissue growth and differentiation used to address clinical problems. Janet retired in 2011 and Chris retired in 2013.
