Research Interests

Principles of Early Embryogenesis

Research Area

We are interested in understanding how animal life starts from a single cell - the fertilized egg. Specifically, we are eager to learn how the cellular components, including genes, proteins, metabolites, and organelles, orchestrate the embryo development at the earliest stages of life. We leverage model embryonic systems and interdisciplinary cutting-edge technologies to reveal novel principles of early development, which have important implications in developing new strategies for intervening with developmental disorders as well as cancer. We value inclusiveness, curiosity and innovation.
