XB-LAB-1007

Durand Laboratory

Research Interests

Neurobiology of the early embryo

Research Area

Research in the Durand group focuses on understanding the genetic mechanisms that regulate the early development of the nervous system from neural induction to neuroepithelium patterning and cell fate specification using Xenopus as a model system. Her current research focuses on how transcriptional regulation and cell-cell signaling shapes cell identity, proliferation and migration in cerebellum using both Xenopus embryos and mouse primary cells.
